My mother was born in 1927 in Germany and did not come to America until after the war. She is 81 and stays well informed of present-day politics. She recently told me, “This is what we watched the Nazis do: first they took over the banks, then industry, then communications, then the churches and then the peoples’ guns . . . ” Sound familiar? This has to STOP!!!

If all we do is get together for one day at the Capitol, it will get about as much attention from the press as all the tea parties we have on this date at the Capitol with Jason Lewis. I was a teenager in the 60’s and attended many demonstrations back then (about a year before I got sick of the whining and joined the Marine Corps to help spread freedom in ‘69)
In order for these dolts in DC to take notice, this will have to happen all summer, for just a start. We are being sold into a kind of slavery. Any so-called “rebound” in the economy will be an illusion because this money has to be paid back at some point. This president and congress will have wasted so much borrowed money that our descendants will be born into debt so bad that THEY will never be able to pay it either – unless they live like third world people and still create wealth to pay it off. Can anyone see that happening? We are being put into a permanent downgraded society and if we don’t demand that they stop this borrowing and give back what they can right now, we deserve the poor futures that are surely coming (but do our descendants?) It is amazing to me how short-sighted these politicians and their voters are. One would think they are TRYING to foil the economy so bad that they will be able to convince the scared populous that socialism is the only way to continue on, and because of the lack of education and critical thinking in America now, they will believe it or anything anyone else will tell them. Say goodbye to the American dream because socialism negates any idea of owning your own property. Government and a few lucky politicians will own everything and what they don’t own they will control. The point is – you won’t.

Well, there’s no time like the present to get a parking permit from Sears. My only concern is that it is so close to the tea party itself I think it will be very difficult to leave the area once the tea party concludes. I’ve considered that maybe a parking lot on University (i.e., Target, Midway Shopping Center; Walmart; parking lots might work out better. I’ll have to think about it.

In one way I hope I’m not in a big crowd going home after, but then in other ways I hope I am in a big crowd going home because I really want this Tea Party to be a HUGE success.

“The time for words is OVER. We as tax payers, business owners, the military & the hard working class are fed up with being used. The people in the goverment state & feds NEED to leave office now we all can help them out the door.”
